ABOUT

Sam Diaz started his music career at the age of 12  when he picked up his first pair of drumsticks. As an experienced and professional drummer he played with  many popular jazz musicians in the Florida scene as well as playing in many big churches as the lead drummer.

In 2010 Sam discovered his passion in film scoring when he heard the film score to "Benjamin Button" by Alexandre Desplat .

Taking his knowledge and theory skills acquired at Florida International University he began composing for a Children's web series that required many styles of music.  This experience helped him develop his techniques and ability to write with pen and paper different themes and styles for the show and personally perform all the instruments.

With the orchestration, melodic techniques and influence from his favorite composers, Sam has produced top notch scores on many  projects for various directors and producers. He has also been hired as an orchestrator for composers and an arranger/programmer of pop/jazz/hip-hop music as well.

As the projects came along Sam also discovered a passion for the film making process and when his good friend and regular collaborater Frankie G asked him to help out and co-edit a feature film, Sam stepped up to the challenge and kept venturing into the editing field without ever looking back. Now a days Sam works as Composer, Editor and even Videographer creating and shooting promo videos for various different projects and will often do several of these roles on a project. His ultimate goal is to serve the vision of the film while still telling a compelling visual story that will impact his viewers in a positive way.

Sam lives with his Wife Natalie in South Florida and  both are the CEO's of the wedding photography/videography company NOUBA
